Sikiza
Voice communities, screen reader first.
Join a community and talk by voice: record a short post, listen to what others say, and reply. Sikiza is made for blind and low-vision people who use TalkBack, and works for anyone who would rather talk than type.
Sikiza means "listen" in Swahili. Say it see-KEE-za.
How it works
- Listen first. Open the app and listen to communities without an account.
- Talk by voice. Posts and replies are short recordings, up to 2 minutes.
- Play new. One button plays everything new in your communities, one post after another.
- Built for TalkBack. Every screen is designed to be heard: clear labels, short sounds for start and stop, and nothing that needs sight.
- Communities for everyone. Tech help, studies and jobs, communities in your own language, or start your own.
- Kind by design. House rules, reporting, blocking and moderators in every community.
When can I use it?
Sikiza is being built now. An open beta on Google Play for Android is planned. To hear when it opens, email info@redzoc.com with the subject "Sikiza beta".
Made by RedZoc
Sikiza is a RedZoc app. RedZoc makes apps that speak: voice and accessibility apps for blind and low-vision people, made for India, used worldwide. RedZoc is run by Ramees Muhammed, a software architect who uses a screen reader every day.
